Please send me your questions and I will answer them all soon.
In the meantime, I am heading south down the Stuart Highway, one
of the most barren stretches of road in the world where the only
evidence of civilization for a 100 kilometers is a roadhouse which
is a gas station, pub, restaurant, general store, motel and campsite
all in one. For me, a roadhouse means: water and shade. For a truck
driver it means: coffee and/or beer. In two days I will reach the
dead center of Australia; in a few more days, Alice Springs. From
here I will take the obligatory detour to see Ayers Rock, a meager
1100 kilometer side trip with two 200 kilometer stretches without
water or food.
